RECOMMENDATION:
title
Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with Aramark Healthcare Technologies, LLC, to provide biomedical engineering and diagnostic imaging maintenance services, extending the term through December 31, 2018 and increasing the amount by $320,000, to an amount not to exceed $4,460,000.

The agreement has been amended multiple times to reflect changes in the inventory equipment list. In May 2018, SMMC released an RFP for biomedical and diagnostic imaging maintenance services and is currently in the process of reviewing the proposals. In June 2018, your Board approved an amendment to extend the term through August 31, 2018, and increased the amount by $140,000 to an amount not to exceed $4,140,000, to allow SMMC time review the proposals.

DISCUSSION:
SMMC underestimated the time it would take to review the proposals and the complexity involved in working with the various departments within the Health System to address all their biomedical needs. Therefore, SMMC is requesting that your Board extend the term of the current agreement through December 31, 2018, with an associated increase in funding, to allow SMMC time to execute a new agreement.

The amendment and Resolution have been reviewed and approved by County Counsel as ...
