BACKGROUND:
The Health System has a number of contracts for services that will expire on or before June 30, 2018 and the renegotiation of these contracts is pending completion. At the June 19, 2018 meeting of this Board of Supervisors, the Board adopted Resolution No. 075948, which authorizes the County Controller to continue making payments up to a certain amount on some Health System contacts which will be submitted as new agreements by the end of September 2018.

However, owing to clerical error, the list of contracts that was submitted with Resolution Number 075948 included incorrectly low maximum amounts payable for some of the contracts. Because many of the agencies impacted by this error are in immediate need of County payments to sustain operations, the Health System requests that the Board adopt a revised resolution to remedy this error.

These contracts, with the corrected maximum amount authorized to be paid, are listed in the Exhibit to this revised Resolution and they will be submitted as new agreements or for extensions by the end of September 2018.

DISCUSSION:
To ensure continued provision of the contracted services during the interim period between July 1, 2018 and September 30, 2018, staff requests that the Board of Supervisors authorize the Controller to continue to make payments under these contracts listed on the Exhibit to the revised Resolution at the existing rates through September 30, 2018.
