Recommendation for the reappointment of Supervisor Dave Pine to the San Mateo Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCo) as an Alternate Commissioner representing the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors, for a term ending December 31, 2018.

BACKGROUND:
LAFCo reviews and approves incorporations, annexations, consolidations, and other changes of boundaries and organization for the cities and special districts of San Mateo County. The Commission also determines city and district spheres of influence and performs periodic studies of existing governmental agencies. Two seats on the Commission are held by San Mateo County Supervisors, with a third Supervisor serving as the Alternate. This Alternate position will be filled through a term lasting until December 2018.
DISCUSSION:
Supervisor Dave Pine has served on the San Mateo Local Agency Formation Commission since April 11, 2017, and LAFCo has recommended that Supervisor Dave Pine be reappointed to serve as an Alternate Commissioner for another term.
