Recommendation for the appointment of Eliza Manchester to the Coastside Design Review Committee, representing Alternate Princeton Community member, for a term ending March 31, 2020.

BACKGROUND:

The Coastside Design Review Committee reviews new development proposals to ensure that they are compatible with the physical setting of the site and the visual character of the communities of Montara, Moss Beach. El Granada, Miramar, and Princeton.  The Committee reviews development applications for compliance with specific site planning and architectural standards developed for the area.

 

DISCUSSION:

Eliza Manchester and her family are long-time residents of the coast, where she serves as a volunteer for Committee for Green Foothills and Coastside Hope.  Ms. Manchester also brings to the CDRC her professional land use experience in Economic and Community Development, where she currently works for the City of South San Francisco as a Management Analyst II. 

 

This appointment contributes to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
