BACKGROUND:
On November 17, 2015, your Board adopted Resolution No. 074208, which authorized the agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (AECOM) for construction management services for the Crystal Springs Dam Bridge (CSDB) Replacement Project, in the amount of $2,230,458. The services to be provided in accordance with the agreement included: construction project management, construction inspection, bridge construction oversight and coordination, compliance with the plans and specifications, compliance with federal funding requirements, and project construction coordination for the CSDB Replacement Project.

DISCUSSION:
Amendment No. One increases the agreement's not-to-exceed amount by $1,296,775. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. (Kiewit) is the Contractor for the Project and has been working on the Project for approximately 15 months. The Project is currently scheduled to be completed in December 2017. Construction of the Project is complicated and is coupled with the extensive coordination required with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), the owner of the dam upon which the bridge is being constructed. The work requires significant coordination with SFPUC and the State Division of Safety of Dams to approve the planned work and unanticipated conditions encountered during construction.
