BACKGROUND:
Stable housing plays a vital role in addressing significant reentry challenges by swiftly providing stable housing solutions, preventing homelessness, and establishing a foundation for rehabilitation and employment. By facilitating access to support services, promoting family reunification, and reducing the risk of reoffending, Rapid Re-housing contributes to successful reintegration into society. Rapid Re-housing is?a program that helps people at risk of, or who are, experiencing homelessness find housing quickly.?It offers short-term rental assistance and services to help people become self-sufficient and stay housed.

On April 9, 2024, by Resolution No. 080278, the County entered into an Agreement ("Agreement") for the term of April 9, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for a total obligation amount not to exceed $910,608 to provide Rapid Re-housing ("RRH") program services to Human Services Agency ("HSA") Service Connect clients (formerly incarcerated individuals) and their families. Under this Agreement, Abode provides housing location services, temporary financial assistance, temporary case management services, and rental and moving assistance to formerly incarcerated individuals and their families.
