BACKGROUND:

The Commission is charged with the responsibility of assessing the needs of women, girls and families in the County. It acts as a resource and makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors annually.

 

DISCUSSION:

Irma Zoepf is being recommended to serve on a seat carrying an existing partial term ending December 31, 2024 formerly held by resigned member Melissa Lukin.

 

Irma Zoepf and her family reside in Redwood City. Irma is the Founder and Principal of The Z Bridge which is a woman-owned, mission-drive consulting firm supporting leaders around the San Francisco Bay Area in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Irma holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree from the University of Sonora, Mexico and an MBA focused on Business Strategy from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Spain. Currently a board member of Thrive Alliance, Irma also founded the “Latinas in San Mateo County” and “Women in Silicon Valley Lean In” groups.
