Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement from the City and County of San Francisco Department of Public Health approving the annual allocation under the agreement to provide HIV/AIDS health services, for the term of March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2028, in an amount not to exceed $8,559,404.

BACKGROUND:
The Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) provides funding to eligible metropolitan areas (EMA) that are disproportionately affected by HIV/AIDS. EMAs utilize this funding for the development, organization, coordination, and operation of more effective and cost-efficient systems that deliver essential services to HIV/AIDS-affected individuals and their families. Funding comes to the Public Health, Policy and Planning (PHPP) division's San Mateo County Public Health STD/HIV Program (SMSH) through an agreement with the San Francisco EMA's fiscal agent, the City and County of San Francisco (CCSF).
The original agreement for the term of March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2028, in an amount not to exceed $8,559,404 was approved by this Board on November 29, 2023. CCSF is requiring a yearly agreement to allocate the specific annual amount as meted out by HRSA.
With the approval and adoption of this amendment, we are requesting that this Board also approve all future annual allocation agreements that fall under this agreement and will allow the PHPP Director or their designee to sign and approve future annual allocations under this agreement for the term of March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2028, in an amount not to exceed $8,559...
