BACKGROUND:
On June 28, 2022, this Board adopted Resolution No. 079012(p), authorizing an Agreement with Vista Environmental Consulting for on-call hazardous materials assessment and related services on an as-needed basis to assist with numerous Department of Public Works (Department) managed Capital Projects. The Agreement term was from June 28, 2022 through June 27, 2025 for a not-to-exceed amount of $300,000.
On September 4, 2024, the Director of Public Works authorized Amendment No. 1 increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $25,000 with no change in term, as authorized by Resolution No. 079012 (a-p).
DISCUSSION:
The Department recommends an amendment to the agreement with Vista Environmental Consulting for an additional $300,000 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $625,000 and to extend the term through June 27, 2027. This will allow Vista Environmental Consulting to continue hazardous materials assessment and related services for multiple floors of the County Office Building 1 Renovation and Modernization Project, the Hall of Justice Court Tenant Improvements Project, as well as other Capital Improvement Plan projects. Amending the Vista Environmental Consulting Agreement will leverage their familiarity of the projects through completion.
