Measure K: Recommendation to:
A) Adopt a resolution authorizing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute a grant agreement with HIP Housing to provide funding for necessary safety repairs and the implementation of trauma-informed renovations for the term January 28, 2025, to January 27, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $250,000; and
B) Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) in the amount of $250,000 appropriating Measure K funds from Non-Departmental Services Reserves to Non-Departmental Services Miscellaneous Other Contributions to fund the agreement with HIP Housing.

BACKGROUND:
HIP Housing's mission is to invest in human potential by improving the housing and lives of people in our community. HIP Housing enables people with special needs, either from income or circumstance, to live independent, self-sufficient lives in decent, safe, low-cost homes. HIP Housing helps over 1,200 local low-income people throughout San Mateo County to secure and maintain housing they can afford.
After 52 years of providing affordable housing solutions for others in San Mateo County, HIP Housing has purchased its first "Home of its Own" that will serve as the permanent home for all HIP Housing's administrative and program functions including those for Home Sharing, Self-Sufficiency for Families, Housing Readiness for Seniors, and Affordable Housing Management and Development.
HIP Housing is seeking a one-time grant of $250,000 to complete the necessary safety improvements and implement trauma-informed design elements needed for the HIP Housing office.
