Adopt a resolution authorizing:
A) A commitment in an amount not to exceed $400,000 of General Funds to support the development of the St. Francis Center Magical Bridge Pocket Park ("Project") to expand recreational, athletic, and community resources for youth and families throughout the region; and
B) The County Executive, or designee(s), in consultation with the County Attorney, to negotiate and execute a grant agreement and any related documents with the St. Francis Center of Redwood City and or designated implementing partner(s) to support project development, construction, and programming.

BACKGROUND:
The St. Francis Center ("Center") of Redwood City is a nonprofit organization serving low-income families through affordable housing, education, and social services in North Fair Oaks and surrounding communities. In addition to operating multiple affordable housing developments, a vibrant youth center, and a tuition-free kindergarten through eighth grade school, the Center has been instrumental in revitalizing the neighborhood through community-driven projects and equitable development initiatives.
In partnership with the Magical Bridge Foundation, a nonprofit organization recognized for creating universally accessible playgrounds, St. Francis Center seeks to convert a vacant property at 186 Buckingham Avenue into a safe and inclusive community space. The Project will be the first of its kind in the area and will provide children, families, and individuals of all abilities a place to play and connect.
