body
BACKGROUND:
On February 25, 2025, the County and El Concilio of San Mateo County ("El Concilio") entered into a Measure K Grant Agreement ("Agreement") to support Building Community Ambassadors: Climate Ready Training for Promotores in an amount not to exceed $34,362.50 for the term February 25, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

DISCUSSION:
El Concilio requested an amendment to the Agreement to reallocate $9,050 in funding to better align with staffing needs and ensure continued program delivery.

This amendment revises allocations to El Concilio's Climate Ready Course, a 10-hour course training aiming to increase climate-ready community leadership in frontline communities in District 2. The course covers local climate change issues through monthly sessions such as Climate Change 101, Emergency Preparedness, Healthy Homes/Electrification, and Advocacy/Local Public Policy. The program empowers community ambassadors to lead on environmental issues, increases underrepresented community participation in advocacy, and develops workforce pathways for leaders within El Concilio and its partner organizations.
