BACKGROUND:
In March 2021, San Mateo County Procurement completed a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Security Services. Following the completion of the RFP process, County departments were authorized to negotiate individual agreements with the selected contractor to address their specific needs. Out of the ten (10) vendors that submitted proposals, Execushield, Inc. was selected as the best qualified firm to provide these services to the County.

On December 14, 2021, by Resolution No. 078634 this Board approved entering into an agreement with Execushield, Inc for a term of January 1, 2022 through October 10, 2024 for a total obligation amount not to exceed $1,500,000 which ended in October of 2024.

To avoid a gap in service, the County of San Mateo Human Services Agency (HSA) executed a director level agreement on December 12, 2024, with Execushield, Inc. This agreement provided general security services to six (6) HSA offices throughout the County for a term of October 11, 2024 through October 31, 2026 for a total obligation not to exceed $200,000. On March 16, 2025, a director level amendment to the agreement was executed to adjust a rate table in Exhibit B with no change to the term or total obligation.
