Subject: Measure K: Appropriation Transfer Request for Pescadero Fire Station No. 17 Project
RECOMMENDATION:
title
Measure K: Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) recognizing unanticipated revenue, which will be reimbursed from Office of the County Executive Officer in the amount of $500,000 to the Department of Public Works Capital Projects Budget, for the funding of the Fire Station 17 Project.
body
BACKGROUND:
In September 2021, this Board authorized rollover Measure K funds in the amount of $1,000,000 for the completion of the Tower Road Fire Station 17 Project. The project, at that time, resided with the Project Development Unit (PDU) within the County Executive’s Office (CEO). The Project will renovate Fire Station No. 17’s kitchen and day room including any abatement required to replace flooring, lighting, appliances, and casework.
On January 13, 2026, this Board adopted Resolution No. 081615 authorizing organizational changes by which all remaining Project Development Unit (PDU) work would move to the Department of Public Works (Department), and the Department would initiate, and complete these projects.
DISCUSSION:
Measure K funds will reimburse the Department’s Capital Projects Budget for this Project up to $500,000.
The County Attorney has reviewed and approved the ATR as to form.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of the ATR will recognize unanticipated Measure K revenue in the amount of $500,000 to the Capital Project’s Budget for funding of the Fire Station No. 17 Project. This action transfers Measure K funding and associated appropriations for this project in PDU’s FY 2025-26 Adopted Budget to the Department’s Capital Projects budget.
There is no impact to the General Fund.
