Measure K: Acting as the Governing Board of the Area Agency on Aging for the County of San Mateo, adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of Older Americans Act-funded agreements for the term of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, in the following:
Peninsula Volunteers, Inc., for adult day care, transportation and home-delivered meals in the amount of $1,352,231; and
Senior Coastsiders, Inc., for transportation, information and assistance, senior center activities, congregate nutrition and home-delivered meals in the amount of $503,539; and
Self Help for the Elderly for information and assistance, senior center activities, congregate nutrition and home-delivered meals services in the amount of $421,328; and
Authorizing the execution of an Older American Act-funded agreement with Martha’s Kitchen for home-delivered meals for the term of October 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 in the amount of $670,838.

BACKGROUND:
Every four years, the Board of Supervisors, acting as the Governing Board of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) for the County of San Mateo, reviews and approves the Area Plan for submission to the California Department of Aging (CDA). The Area Plan profiles the County’s older adult population, establishes goals to address the needs of older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers, and identifies recommended services to be funded through the County’s Older Americans Act (OAA) allocations.
