BACKGROUND:
In close collaboration with community partners and other San Mateo County organizations, the Human Services Agency (HSA) coordinates homeless outreach program services to engage and stabilize homeless individuals and households living unsheltered through consistent outreach to facilitate and/or deliver health and basic need services and secure permanent housing.
On September 27, 2022, by Resolution No. 079199, this Board entered into an agreement with Pacifica Resource Center to provide homeless outreach services to the Coastside region of San Mateo County for the term of July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024, for a total obligation amount not to exceed $420,000.
On January 23, 2024, by Resolution No. 080131, this Board amended the agreement with Pacifica Resource Center to add $488,267 in funds for three additional staff to provide outreach and engagement services in the Coastside region of San Mateo County.
DISCUSSION:
The parties now wish to amend the agreement to add $364,133.50 in funds, for a new total obligation amount not to exceed $1,272,400.50 and extend the contract term through December 31, 2024. This amendment will provide funds to continue supporting 4 full-time outreach specialists and 1 full-time outreach case manager to provide street-based outreach and case management services to the unsheltered homeless population in the Coastside region of San Mateo County from July 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
