Adopt a resolution authorizing an agreement with Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative for a Cultural Arts and Wellness Social Enterprise Cafe for Filipino/a/x youth, for the term of October 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024, in an amount not to exceed $1,670,224.

BACKGROUND:
The Cultural Arts and Wellness Social Enterprise Cafe for Filipino/a/x Youth (Social Enterprise Cafe) is a State of California Mental Health Oversight and Accountability Commission approved Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) innovation pilot project to develop a social enterprise business model focused on providing holistic, culturally responsive behavioral health services and linkages to at-risk transitional age youth (16-24 years) in the northern region of San Mateo County, including the cities of South San Francisco, Daly City and Colma. The Social Enterprise Cafe will serve as a culturally affirming space for Filipino/a/x youth and the community, strengthening cultural identity as a protective factor against negative behavioral health outcomes.
On December 2020, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) released a Request for Proposals seeking an agency for the social enterprise. On February 26, 2021, Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative was selected to provide these services.
DISCUSSION:
