Adopt a resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works to:

A) Execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the San Mateo County Transit District for the pass through of $575,200 from the Cycle 7 Lifeline Transportation Program awarded by the City and County Association of Governments of San Mateo County to the County of San Mateo for the North Fair Oaks Community Connections Project; and

B) Execute Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with the San Mateo County Transit District for the pass through of funding from future cycles of the Lifeline Transportation Program awarded by the City and County Association of Governments of San Mateo County to the County of San Mateo; and

BACKGROUND:
The Lifeline Transportation Program (LTP), established by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, funds operating and capital projects that improve mobility for low-income residents in the San Francisco Bay Area. The City and County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) is responsible for the administration of the LTP in San Mateo County. The County of San Mateo (County) applied to and was awarded $581,200 in Cycle 7 LTP funding by C/CAG at its June 13, 2024 meeting to implement the North Fair Oaks Community Connections Project (Project). The Project will implement high priority pedestrian and bicycle improvements identified in the North Fair Oaks Bicycle and Pedestrian Railroad Crossing and Community Connection Study (Study).
