A) Adopt a resolution authorizing execution of an agreement with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) for distribution of the FY 2025 Alcohol Policing Partnership (APP) Program grant funds to the County of San Mateo Sheriff's Office, for the term of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $75,000; and
B) Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) in the amount of $75,000 to establish a budget appropriation and record revenue for the FY 2025 Alcoholic Policing Partnership (APP) Program grant.

BACKGROUND:
In 1995, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) established the Alcoholic Policing Partnership (APP) Program to strengthen collaborations between ABC and local law enforcement agencies to address alcohol-related issues such as underage drinking, sales to intoxicated individuals, and public nuisances associated with alcohol outlets.
The APP Program grant offers an opportunity for government entities to obtain funding for improvements. This grant will assist the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office with eliminating and reducing the crime and public nuisance associated with problem alcoholic beverage outlets, as well as help raise awareness that selling, serving, and/or furnishing alcoholic beverages to individuals under twenty-one is a criminal violation that will be prosecuted by local city and district attorneys.
The Sheriff's Office desires to undertake a project designated as Stop Underage Drinking to be funded in part from the APP Program grant.
