BACKGROUND:
On February 24, 2026, the Board adopted the Board of Supervisors Agenda Builder to support more intentional planning and transparency of Board meeting agendas. The Agenda Builder is designed to provide a high-level, forward-looking framework that identifies known and recurring agenda items, such as budget hearings, Board retreats, quarterly legislative updates, and other regular Board activities, while also creating space to plan study sessions and policy discussions in a more deliberate and transparent manner that prioritizes the most urgent issues. This tool is intended to provide for less impacted agendas and to assist staff in balancing regular, required items with emerging issues and strategic priorities.
DISCUSSION:
Board members and the Chief Executive Officer have requested study sessions which have been added to the Agenda Builder. The Board President and Chief Executive Officer reviewed the requests and have proposed dates for some study sessions. The Board may discuss prioritizing the remaining unscheduled study sessions:
