Adopt a resolution authorizing and directing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with R.F. MacDonald Co. for boiler maintenance services at various County facilities, extending the term by two years through October 31, 2028 and increasing the amount by $200,000 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $400,000.

BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works ("Department") is responsible for all boiler maintenance services to preserve and sustain the County's HVAC equipment in County owned and operated facilities.
On July 31, 2023, the Department issued a Request for Proposals for boiler maintenance services. R.F. MacDonald Co. was subsequently awarded to provide boiler management services for County facilities from November 1, 2023 through October 31, 2026 to inspect, repair and perform preventative maintenance on 25 boilers for a not-to-exceed amount of $200,000 ("Agreement").
DISCUSSION:
The Department has exhausted all available funds under the Agreement. Amendment No. 1 would increase the not-to-exceed amount by $200,000 for a new not-to-exceed amount of $400,000 and extends the term of the Agreement through October 31, 2028, which will allow R.F. MacDonald Co. to continue providing maintenance services and performing the testing and repairs needed for the County's boilers.
The County Attorney has reviewed and approved the resolution and amendment as to form.
