Recommendation for appointments to the Coastside Design Review Committee, representing Moss Beach:

 

A)                     Melanie Hohnbaum, Community Representative, for a term ending June 30, 2018; and

 

B)                     Kris Lannin Liang, Alternate Community Representative, for a term ending March 31, 2019.

BACKGROUND:

The Coastside Design Review Committee reviews new development proposals to ensure that they are compatible with the physical setting of the site and the visual character of the communities of Montara, Moss Beach. El Granada, Miramar, and Princeton.  The Committee reviews development applications for compliance with specific site planning and architectural standards developed for the area.

 

DISCUSSION:

Melanie Hohnbaum currently serves on the committee as an alternate member and she is willing to serve as a regular member in the community representative position.

 

Kris Lannin Liang currently serves as a regular member in the community representative position and she is willing to serve as the alternate community representative on the committee.

 

These appointments contribute to the 2025 Shared Vision statement of a Collaborative Community. Our diverse population works well together to build strong communities, effective government and a prosperous economy, civic engagement - including voting, public service, charitable giving, volunteerism, and participation in public discussions of important issues - is uniformly high among the diverse population of San Mateo County.
