BACKGROUND:
San Mateo County is responsible for providing necessary medical care to its medically indigent population. This care includes "ENT" or "ear, nose, and throat" surgery, and the management and supervision of the service. PAMF has provided surgery services at San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) for the past 16 years.

DISCUSSION:
PAMF requested this extension by amendment so that it could take until the end of 2024 to collect data prior to commending negotiations for a renewed agreement. The parties desire to extend the agreement on the same terms for an additional three months through March 31, 2025 to complete negotiations.

County Attorney has reviewed and approved the resolution and agreement as to form.

The resolution contains the County's standard provisions allowing amendment of the County fiscal obligations by a maximum of $25,000 (in aggregate).
