Adopt a resolution authorizing Amendment No. 6 to the Agreement with Hill-Rom Company, Inc. for the San Mateo Medical Center Nurse Call Upgrade Project, increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $100,000, for a new not-to-exceed amount of $841,696 and extending the term of the Agreement through March 31, 2025.

BACKGROUND:
On April 20, 2021, this Board adopted Resolution No. 078142, authorizing an Agreement with Hill-Rom Company, Inc (Hillrom) to upgrade and install the Nurse Call System (Project) at the San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC), from April 20, 2021 to December 1, 2022, in the amount of $604,742 and authorizing the Director of Public Works, or designee, to execute contract amendments in the amount of 10 percent or $60,474 for a not-to-exceed amount of $665,216.
As authorized by Resolution No. 078142, the Director of Public Works executed Amendment No. 1 on December 1, 2022, to extend the term through January 1, 2024 and Amendment No. 2 on April 18, 2023 to authorize additional work in the amount of $13,512.17.
On July 11, 2023, this Board adopted Resolution No. 079816 authorizing Amendment No. 3 to increase the not-to-exceed amount by $51,480 to install additional nurse call devices and associated work.
As authorized by Resolution No. 079816, the Director of Public Works executed Amendment No. 4 extending the term of the Agreement to December 31, 2024. As authorized by Resolution Nos. 078142 and 079816, the Director of Public Works executed Amendment No. 5 increasing the not-to-exceed amount by $71,961.83.
