Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to an agreement with the Association of Bay Area Governments for the implementation of the Bay Area Regional Energy Network Program increasing the agreement amount by $315,461 to an amount not to exceed $1,003,344; and extending the contract end date from December 31, 2022, to December 31, 2023.

BACKGROUND:
The Bay Area Regional Energy Network (BayREN) is a collaboration of the nine Bay Area counties implementing energy saving programs on a regional level. BayREN is administered by the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) with funding from the California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Since the first program cycle in 2013, ABAG has contracted with the County for local outreach for BayREN programs. On March 24, 2020, this Board adopted Resolution No. 077308 authorizing the existing Agreement for the County to receive revenue of up to $637,383 from ABAG to fund local outreach support for BayREN programs in San Mateo County from January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2022. On March 9, 2021, this Board adopted Resolution No. 078050 authorizing an amendment to this Agreement increasing the agreement amount by $50,500 to an amount not to exceed $687,883 to support additional work in the Single-Family Residential and the Codes and Standards sub-programs of the agreement.
DISCUSSION:
