Adopt a resolution authorizing an agreement with Daly City Peninsula Partnership Collaborative for the Behavioral Health outreach and collaborative services, for the term of October 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $647,500.

BACKGROUND:
In 2004, California voters passed Proposition 63, The Mental Health Services Act (MHSA), which provides a dedicated source of funding to expand and transform county mental health and substance use services by imposing a 1% tax on personal income in excess of $1 million. The prevention and early intervention (PEI) component of MHSA is intended to build the community's capacity to increase resiliency by decreasing risk factors and increasing the protective factors for individuals who are at greater risk of developing a serious mental illness, as well as for their parents, caregivers, and other family members. PEI emphasizes improving timely access to services and reducing the seven negative outcomes of untreated mental illness: suicide, incarcerations, school failure or dropout, unemployment, prolonged suffering, homelessness, and removal of children from their homes.
In December 2023, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) released a Request for Proposals for Behavioral Health Outreach and Collaboratives.
