BACKGROUND:
In close collaboration with community partners and other San Mateo County organizations, the Human Services Agency (HSA) coordinates homeless outreach program services to engage and stabilize unsheltered homeless individuals and households through consistent outreach to facilitate and/or deliver health and basic needs services and to secure permanent housing.

On August 9, 2024, HSA issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to identify providers of homeless outreach program services throughout San Mateo County.

LifeMoves was selected as the regional provider for Northern San Mateo County, Bayside, and Southern San Mateo County, as well as the Countywide dispatch services provider, based on its demonstrated experience, strong qualifications, and comprehensive approach in alignment with the evaluation criteria set forth in the RFP.

On December 10, 2024, this Board by Resolution No.080788 entered into an agreement with LifeMoves for the purpose of providing street-based homeless outreach and dispatch services throughout San Mateo County for an amount not to exceed $6,485,783 for the term of January 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027.
