Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with Pacifica Resource Center to add $488,267 in funds for a new total obligation not to exceed $908,267 to provide street-based homeless outreach services.

BACKGROUND:
In close collaboration with community partners and other San Mateo County organizations, the Human Services Agency (HSA) coordinates homeless outreach program services to engage and stabilize homeless individuals and households living unsheltered through consistent outreach to facilitate and/or deliver health and basic need services and secure permanent housing.
On September 27, 2022 by Resolution No. 079199, this Board entered into an agreement with Pacifica Resource Center to provide homeless outreach services to the Coastside region of San Mateo County, for the term of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024, for a total obligation amount not to exceed $420,000.
DISCUSSION:
The parties now wish to amend the agreement to increase outreach and engagement capacity to San Mateo County's Coastside unsheltered homeless population. This amendment will add three (3) additional full-time outreach case managers to the outreach team.
Pacifica Resource Center will continue to identify individuals experiencing unsheltered homelessness, assess their housing and service needs, and facilitate connection to shelter and other supportive services. Pacifica Resource Center will also connect unsheltered individuals to the Coordinated Entry System (CES) and work to locate, engage, stabilize, and house chronically homeless individuals.
