Adopt a resolution authorizing an amendment to the agreement with The Latino Commission for substance use disorder prevention and treatment services, increasing the amount of the agreement by $44,480 to an amount not to exceed $1,083,205, with no change to the agreement term.

BACKGROUND:
On August 7, 2018, your Board approved an agreement with The Latino Commission (TLC) for outpatient and residential substance use disorder treatment and recovery services, as well as transitional housing services. Services include assessment, recovery or treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and case management.
In April 2019, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services conducted a search for alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention services and received quotes from three organizations. Of the three organizations, TLC is the only organization trained on the curricula and was selected to provide these prevention services.
DISCUSSION:
TLC will continue to provide expanded outpatient and residential substance use disorder treatment services for men, women, and young mothers with children. Services include assessment, recovery or treatment planning, psycho-education, process and support groups, individual counseling, case management, financial coaching, and additional services that were not available prior to the waiver.
Through this amendment, TLC will participate in county-wide efforts to reduce the impact of AOD through prevention education and collaboration with partners (residents, community organizations, government, health providers, law enforcement, businesses, faith leader...
