BACKGROUND:
The Coroner's Office is required by statute to investigate and determine the cause and manner of death in all violent, sudden, or unusual deaths in San Mateo County.
To perform this statutory duty, the Coroner's Office contracts with a vendor to provide a computerized case management system that enables comprehensive and effective management of cases, improve workflow efficiencies, ensures compliance with accreditation requirements, and enhances collaboration among staff members.
