BACKGROUND:
Automation of financial reporting and repetitive workflow is one of San Mateo Medical Center's (SMMC) finance strategic goals. Before automation, financial reporting and recurring workflows were handled manually, requiring staff to extract data from multiple sources, compile spreadsheets, and perform repetitive reconciliations. This process was time-consuming, prone to error, and diverted resources from higher-value analysis. In July 2025, SMMC completed a Request for Proposals for Power BI developer and consulting services.

DISCUSSION:
Inviso Corporation (Inviso) was elevated due to their strong track record in data analytics and demonstrated experience supporting healthcare organizations, making them well-suited to address our reporting and workflow needs. SMMC was also familiar with Inviso due to Inviso's previous work with SMMC on multiple automation initiatives.

The proposed agreement was competitively procured following publication of a Request for Proposals to provide Power BI developer and consulting services.
