A) Authorizing and directing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute an agreement with Heritage Fire Protection for fire sprinkler services at various County-owned and -maintained Health and Hospital facilities, for the term of June 23, 2026 through June 22, 2029, in an amount not to exceed $296,630; and

B) Authorizing the Director of Public Works, or designee(s), to:

1. Execute subsequent amendments for as-needed repair services, in an additional amount not to exceed $203,370; and

BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Works ("Department") is responsible for the testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair services for County-owned and -maintained Health and Hospital facilities pursuant to federal and state law.

DISCUSSION:
On April 22, 2026, the Department released a Request for Proposals (RFP) through the County's e-Procurement system for fire sprinkler services at various County owned and maintained Health and Hospital facilities.

The Department received proposals from three fire protection firms and staff reviewed the submittals for completeness, qualifications, and price. The Department is recommending Heritage Fire Protection as the most qualified firm based on the County's needs. The RFP Matrix describing the procurement process is attached as Exhibit A.

The proposed agreement provides that Heritage Fire Protection will perform fire sprinkler services at various County-owned and -maintained Health and Hospital facilities for the term of June 23, 2026 through June 22, 2029 in the amount of $296,630 ("Agreement").
