Adopt a resolution authorizing the execution of an agreement with Service League of San Mateo County to provide programs and services to the incarcerated population, for the term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, in an amount not to exceed $702,773.

BACKGROUND:
Since 1989, Service League of San Mateo County has provided direct services to the San Mateo County incarcerated population. Services include, but are not limited to, the following: jail programming, jail orientation, jury trial clothing, family and child visitation waiting room, Spanish language services, library services, and various denominational chaplaincy services. The Service League of San Mateo County continues to be an integral part of the County's efforts to reduce recidivism for justice-involved individuals "in-custody" and "out-of-custody".
DISCUSSION:
This agreement provides programs and services that can prepare incarcerated individuals to reenter the community. This agreement also contributes to the main strategies found in the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP), and Local Implementation Plan (LIP) adopted by this Board in 2012 and revised in 2020. In Spring 2021, the San Mateo County Manager's Office and the Sheriff's Office conducted a Request for Proposal Process with the intention that it would be used to select services for three years. Following the process, the Service League was selected to provide these services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The term of this agreement is from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 for an amount not to exceed $702,773. There is no Net County Cost associated with this agreement, as it is funded entirely from AB109 ...
