Measure K: Adopt a resolution authorizing:
A) An agreement with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. to provide design services for the Electric Vehicle Charger Infrastructure Project at multiple County-owned facilities, for the term of September 9, 2025 through September 8, 2030, in an amount not to exceed $649,861; and
B) The Director of Public Works, or designee, to execute contract amendments up to an amount not-to-exceed $150,139 in contingency for unanticipated services and modify the contract term and/or services if the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provision.

BACKGROUND:
On January 26, 2021, this Board adopted Resolution No. 077960 approving the County's Government Operations Climate Action Plan (GOCAP), a comprehensive strategy to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from County operations and achieve carbon neutrality by 2035. A strategy in the GOCAP is to install electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure across County facilities and transition light- to mid-duty County fleet vehicles to zero-emission vehicles by 2035.
The Department of Public Works (Department) maintains the County's current and future EV fleet. Additional charging stations will be necessary as the County increases its EV fleet.
This Board adopted Resolution No. 079316 on November 15, 2022, which authorized an agreement with AECOM to prepare a Countywide Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan. AECOM evaluated the County's fleet needs, EV infrastructure phasing, site conditions, and cost estimates.
