RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a resolution authorizing:
A) The President of the Board to execute an agreement with The Dutra Group, in the amount of $2,090,700 for the Coyote Point Marina Maintenance Dredging and Pile Replacement Project; and
B) The Director of Public Works to:
1. Execute subsequent change orders to grant time extensions for project completion and payment up to a maximum aggregate amount not to exceed $209,070, or approximately 10 percent of the agreement amount; and
2. Approve payment up to the not to exceed amount of $2,299,770 for items requiring adjustment based on unit bid prices without execution of a change order.

BACKGROUND:
On March 22, 2022, this Board adopted Resolution No. 078794, which adopted the plans and specifications, including conformance with prevailing wage scale requirements and calling for sealed bids for the above-mentioned Project.
DISCUSSION:
On Thursday, April 21, 2022, at 2:30pm, bids were accepted for this Project and subsequently referred to Public Works for checking and recommendation. The bid of:

at $2,090,700 was the lowest responsible bid received for the work described in Schedules A through F. The Engineer's Estimate for the total combination of the awarded Schedules ("A" + "B" + "C" + "D" + "E" + "F") was $3,704,150. A summary of the bids received is attached as Exhibit "A".
County Attorney has reviewed and approved the resolution as to form.
