Adopt a resolution authorizing an agreement with Service League of San Mateo County for substance use disorder treatment services, for the term July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, in an amount not to exceed $839,902.

BACKGROUND:
For over 15 years, Hope House, a program of Service League of San Mateo County (Service League), has provided an intensive residential treatment program for women who have a substance use disorder (SUD). Service League serves adult women, pregnant women, and women with infants. Through its evidence-based gender specific groups, Service League is able to provide the most up-to-date information and techniques addressing addiction and other harmful behaviors. Service League works closely with the courts to address legal issues and reunite women with their children.
DISCUSSION:
Through the Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) waiver, Service League shall continue to provide expanded residential substance use disorder treatment services for adult women, pregnant women, and women with infants. Services include safe and supportive transitional housing, case management, and additional services that were not available prior to the waiver.
In February 2017, your Board waived the Request for Proposals (RFP) process for substance use disorder treatment services for two years, to allow BHRS time to implement the DMC-ODS waiver-related changes to this and all other BHRS substance use related contracts. In late 2018, BHRS will release a RFP for substance use disorder treatment services to start on July 1, 2019.
