BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to section 2.10.070 of the Ordinance Code, the County Attorney’s Office works with the County Executive’s Office to receive and process claims filed against the County. Further investigation may indicate justification for payment by the County. If so, payment will be made under the authority of the Risk Manager or will be brought back to the Board for consideration.

DISCUSSION:

The County Attorney’s Office has reviewed these claims and recommends that you take the following action.

	Claimant alleges County is responsible for property damage that occurred
	after the County’s work on an adjacent property caused discharge of
	water.
G25-20354	Christina Corpus	10/14/2025	Untimely/Non-culpable
	Claimant alleges that she incurred damages as a result of allegedly false
	and defamatory statements made and republished by County officials and
	agents between November 12, 2024 and October 15, 2025, and
	thereafter; Claimant asserted many of the allegations included in the
	instant claim against the County in a previous claim dated December 19,
	2024 that the Board rejected on January 28, 2025.
