Adopt a resolution authorizing:
A) The President of the Board of Supervisors to execute a Site License Agreement with Sequoia Union High School District (“District”) to allow the County continued occupancy and operation of the 2,880 square foot clinic space known as the Sequoia Teen Wellness Center (the “Center”), for the continued term through June 30, 2028, for a total annual License Fee of Twenty Four Thousand Dollars ($24,000) and an annual Utility Fee of Four Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Dollars ($4,320) paid in two equal installments of Fourteen Thousand One Hundred Sixty Dollars ($14,160); and
B) The County Executive, or their designee, to accept or execute notices, options and documents associated with the Agreement including, but not limited to, extension or termination of the agreement under the terms set forth therein. (Lease No. 1334)

BACKGROUND:
The District owns the land and improvements known as the Sequoia Teen Wellness Center located at 200 James Avenue, in Redwood City.
The Center provides a range of healthcare and mental health services including primary care for teens and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24. The services provided at the Center include physicals and medical examinations, immunizations, reproductive health services, health education, mental health services, support groups and more.
Since 2018, the County, in partnership with the District, has operated the Center, and wishes to continue operations at the Center for an additional five (5) years.
DISCUSSION:
The County shall pay the District $24,000 per year as a License Fee, and $4,320 per year in Utility Fees, for a total annual cost of $28,320.00 (collectively referred to as “Fees”) paid in two equal installments of $14,160. County shall separately be responsible for all janitorial and data connectivity.
EQUITY IMPACT
The County of San Mateo is dedicated to ensuring equitable access to quality services for all residents. The County acquires and leases real property to ensure all residents can access services in the locations and facilities best suited to their specific purposes. This lease will further the County’s ability to ensure that critical services for residents can continue to be met.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The Fees set forth herein is estimated at $28,320 annually and will be paid from the Organization Code No. 68540.
There is no impact to the General Fund.
