BACKGROUND:
On October 20, 2020 this Board adopted Resolution No. 077821, which approved the Santa Cruz Avenue/Alameda de las Pulgas Complete Street Project (Project) and supported an application to the San Mateo Transportation Authority for pedestrian and bicycle program funding for design and permitting of the Project.

On March 28, 2023 this Board adopted Resolution No. 079531, which authorized the Director of Public Works, or designee, to file an application for funding assigned to the
Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) committing any necessary matching funds and stating assurance to complete the Project.

The MTC, administers state and federal funds to support programs that make walking and biking better travel options through their 2023 Regional Active Transportation Program Cycle 6 (ATP Cycle 6).
