BACKGROUND:

The mission of the San Mateo County Commission on Aging (CoA) is to improve the quality of life for seniors in San Mateo County through the promotion of independence, self-sufficiency, mental and physical health, as well as community involvement.

 

DISCUSSION:

David Linnell is being recommended to serve an initial partial term through June 30, 2025, a seat formerly held by Jeffrey Austin who resigned mid-term.

 

David Linnell is the Chief Operations Officer for Meals on Wheels San Francisco, serving both San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. He has spent most of his career serving seniors in acute care, long-term care, and assisted living environments. David has a passion for assuring the vulnerable seniors in these counties receive the services they need and deserve. He holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on healthcare administration with years of experience with emphasis on food insecurity and isolation. David lives in El Granada with his wife and loves the coast. They have three children and one grandchild and enjoy traveling the California and Oregon coasts camping and hiking.
